Harvard Biophysics Graduate Program Applications (Open House & Q&A Session) Oct 29th
Dear Colleague, I am writing on behalf of the Harvard Biophysics Graduate Program about our upcoming PhD application cycle, and I hope that you will encourage your students to apply. Our program lies at the interface of the physical and biological sciences, training graduate students to apply cutting-edge experimental and theoretical approaches to biological problems. Our students work with faculty in many departments across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Harvard Medical School, as well as faculty at the Broad Institute and Harvard-affiliated hospitals. As a highly interdisciplinary program, we welcome applicants from a wide range of scientific backgrounds, including fields such as physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, neuroscience, and biomedical engineering. In addition, students from groups historically underrepresented in graduate education are strongly encouraged to apply. We will be hosting a Harvard Biophysics Virtual Open House from 5-6 pm EST on October 29, 2024, where faculty on the admissions committee and current students will be available to answer questions about the program and the application process. Please ask your students to use this form to register: https://forms.gle/z9Y18zvrEMS8vrxo9<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%2Fz9Y18zvrEMS8vrxo9&data=05%7C02%7Cbmegradstudents-list%40ecn.purdue.edu%7Ca2d0ca6bedf148c2147d08dcf75128e2%7C4130bd397c53419cb1e58758d6d63f21%7C0%7C0%7C638657176109334894%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=SThCrkXSGyfkmJOoLu%2FAr8Hto3%2FbvYDnErQ0q5DI3fU%3D&reserved=0>, and we ask that they please submit any accommodation requests by October 25. The registration page also includes a link for students to submit anonymous questions in advance of the Open House, and a Zoom link for the meeting will be sent to all registrants prior to the date. Applications are due December 1, 2024, and more information on applications can be found on our website<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbiophysics.fas.harvard.edu%2Fapplying-biophysics&data=05%7C02%7Cbmegradstudents-list%40ecn.purdue.edu%7Ca2d0ca6bedf148c2147d08dcf75128e2%7C4130bd397c53419cb1e58758d6d63f21%7C0%7C0%7C638657176109334894%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=NYyO%2FZbPU8OgMu2KCFIECFq%2B7WFsbUa0gzfQpXysusY%3D&reserved=0>.
