We have just been notified of an opportunity for women entrepreneurs in science/tech/healthcare. (One of our alumna has been invited as a judge, and would love to see some Boilermaker representation!). The Challenge has just opened to virtual participants, so there is no travel involved. More information The Texas Healthcare Challenge is a competition inviting teams across diverse backgrounds to compete for cash and in-kind prizes by creating solutions for various healthcare problems. Attendees will meet, ideate around a problem set, iterate, and receive mentoring. This type of healthcare hacking brings together like-minded innovators who may be students, tech experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, designers, engineers, and healthcare professionals. Have they identified hypotheses, assumptions, or low-cost experiments they can perform? Will an end-user pay for this or be attracted to use it? ∙ Presentation: Was the presentation exciting? Did the outcome of the hack surprise you? Is the storytelling visually appealing? Did they use their 3 minutes wisely?
