In this keynote, Patterson will discuss how the climate crisis and racial injustice are interconnected. Wednesday, January 19: Environmental Justice and Public Health, 12:00pm - 1:00pm Ellen Wells, Associate Professor of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences in Purdue's College of Health and Human Sciences will present on environmental justice and public health. Thursday, January 20: Climate Justice Issues in the Midwest, 12:00pm - 1:00pm This faculty panel organized by Jeff Dukes, Professor of Forestry and Natural Resources & Biological Sciences and Director of Purdue Climate Change Research Center, will discuss climate justice issues specific to the Midwest. Friday, January 21: Community Partnerships working towards Environmental Justice, 12:00pm - 1:00pm This panel of local community centers leaders will explain their centers and how they relate to health, education, and well being in cases in which resources are limited.
