Good afternoon. To allow for building occupants to prepare and make advanced arrangements for transporting lab materials, gas cylinders, and animals that would normally be moved using the freight elevator, we would like to alert you of an upcoming freight elevator shutdown. In order to ensure all building occupants safety and meet current code standards, it has become necessary for us to perform extensive repairs to the MJIS freight elevator systems. Unfortunately, these repairs will require that the freight elevator be inaccessible for several hours on Wednesday, March 5th. Work will begin at 5:30 am and we are hopeful all repairs will be completed by 11:00 am that same day. Please contact me if you have any questions or if you will need help with transporting your materials during the designated shutdown time frames.
