Electrical Work in ARMS (2/5)
Hi All, Please see the note below from ARMS building deputy. The part to repair the issue is coming from Indy so the timeframe is not yet determined but is in route, and the fix should not take very long either. With generators running. there should be minimal impact. Let us know if there appears to be any issues at all. Lab PI's may determine whether they would like certain machinery to not be used. If this is the case, please respect that. We will follow up when more info is provided regarding the repair. In order to repair the central elevators and several of our HVAC units, Physical Facilities will need to replace an electrical breaker located in the building penthouse. Unfortunately, this work will temporarily affect power in the following Armstrong Hall rooms: * B107 * B107A * B107B * B119 * B130 * B146 * B160 * B175 * B214B * 2103 * 2136 * 2138 * 2160 * 2170 * 2172 * 3089 * 3098 * 3105 * 3106 * 3130 * 3132 While the generator will be activated to supply electricity during this period, I wanted to communicate the outage to ensure everyone is aware. They anticipate a smooth transition, but in the event of any unexpected hiccups, electricians will be on-site to address them promptly. The work is expected to take place this afternoon, or early this evening (2/5). We appreciate everyones patience.
