Advocacy and mentorship are critical soft skills, and not talked about enough! To be successful, one needs not only to possess skills like these but also to be actively looking for them in one's workplace. It's great if you and your organization have 'mission alignment' but you may still need to negotiate and advocate and deal with pushback and consequences. Our panelists have valuable insights to share about workplace cultures, advocating for oneself and/or for others, and seeking and/or offering mentorship. Please direct questions about these to me.
