Welcome Kati Benner to our front desk
Hello MSE. I'm writing to first thank you for enthusiastically embracing our 1st annual Purdue Day of Materials. It was a great pleasure seeing the roughly 200 posts in Insta, LinkedIn, and Facebook. I can't wait for even more participation when we grow the event next year. I've already heard from many alumni how exciting it was to see such energy from students, hear about old classmates, and learn about the work and interests of so many of our broader Purdue Materials community. Secondly, you will note that our front desk is once again fully staffed! Kati Benner is already making important contributions that will help us all. Aside from Kati's professional credentials, which recently included event planning and contract management for Lucas Oil Products (ie Colts games, concerts, etc.), she also has a bachelors in Culinary Management, a 1 year old son, and she moved to Lafayette just this year after almost 20 in Indianapolis. Please introduce yourself the next time you come through the main office. Finally, for current students: don't be shy about leveraging those LinkedIn Connections! And to our seniors: good luck in the final push for your design projects. Regards, -Bryan Bryan D. Huey, Professor Blacutt-Underwood Head of the School of Materials Engineering Purdue University, College of Engineering
