1. PPDA sponsored Seminar series

The 2013 seminar series kick off was a success; Bob Falk and Melissa Acher from PEFCU helped us understanding the intricate world of investments, savings, pensions, etc. We plan to have them back soon for a second presentation. 
The next speaker will be Jeremy Sinoda, Marketing Associate from BASI (Bioanalytical Systems) at Purdue reaserch park. He will talk about drug discovery/pharmaceutical industry, how he went from a scientist to a marketing position and all the other non-traditional opportunities that there are for post-docs in the pharmaceutical private sector.

3. PPDA February Social Event

The PPDA is going skating and bowling! Stay tuned and visit our facebook page for details. After a break in January, our coffee hour is back on a regular schedule. It takes place once a month on a Friday at 1 PM in the PMU lobby (one floor above Starbucks). Elizabeth announces it on the postdoc mailing list.

4. PPDA Flyer
 
Our flyers are starting to appear on campus and off campus locations. We hope this will increase the PPDA visibility. We also welcome postdocs that want to get involved with the association or simply join for our social events at any time. Don't be shy and come see us.
