Subject: Request Conf/Classroom Reservations in RAT/SMAS
MSE Faculty, Staff, Post-Docs, & Graduate Students:
In an effort to expedite conference and classroom reservation requests, please utilize
the ‘Resource Allocation Tool’ (RAT) and ‘Space Management/UniTime’ (SMAS) systems, where your room requests will be electronically submitted to the appropriate space administrator. This will also decrease verbal requests to Rosemary, Stacey, and me,
providing you instructions to enter your own requests, or ask one of your RA’s to do so.
You can view conference room availability and request room reservations on
RAT via the following:
https://engineering.purdue.edu/ECN/Resources/Tools/RAT/index_local
1.
Select ‘Armstrong Hall’ or wherever you’re searching

2.
Select appropriate ‘view’ where you can see if a room is open (look out to weekly/monthly for repeat meeting requests). Can also see detailed information for each conference room, as well as who
administers each. Pick ‘View Calendar’

3. Select ‘Request Reservation’, entering the appropriate room number, date and time information; select ‘reason’, then you can add whether you need the reservation as a ‘repeating reservation’ including frequency and end date (also suggest you add the
name of your meeting/group), then select ‘Request Reservation’

For classroom reservations, click the SMAS link to go to the ‘Space Management’ site, where you’ll find instructions for requesting space or assistance using ‘UniTime’.
