MONDAY is POSTDOC APPRECIATION PIZZA PARTY (sponsored by Proteintech)

When: MON 9/16, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Where: Party Tent on Agricultural Admin Building (AGAD) Lawn, 615 W State Street

What: Kick off National Postdoc Appreciation Week with a fun pizza party! Learn about new postdoc-programming from the Office for Postdoctoral Scholars from Director Rachelle Swan, hear a word of encouragement from OGSPS Interim VP Dr. Haley Oliver, get introduced to your Purdue Postdoc Association board members, and enjoy getting to know fellow postdocs! You will also get to meet a representative from Proteintech, a biotech company that reached out to see if they could sponsor this event!

WEDNESDAY is COFFEE GRAB-n-GO with Travelin' Tom’s Truck!

When: WED 9/16, 8 AM - 12 PM

Where: 8 to 9 AM Discovery Learning Center Dock

9 to 12 PM Memorial Mall north of Stewart Center

What: Halfway through the week, we are treating you to a coffee (or favorite beverage) break! Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck will serve you in the Discovery Park area on Wednesday morning and then move to the central campus at Memorial Mall, where you can claim your complimentary beverage until noon. FRIDAY is ICE CREAM and COOKIES SOCIAL with Beverly Ann's "Cookie on Wheels"!

When: FRI 9/20, 4 - 6 PM

Where: Party Tent at Agricultural Admin Building (AGAD) Lawn, 615 W State Street

What: We are ending the week with dessert, of course! Beverly Ann's truck will be parked at the Agricultural Admin building so you can grab warm cookies and homemade ice cream to eat under the same party tent we used for the pizza party. We’d also like to treat your PIs, so please bring them along! Click here to see menu.

We have learned that food is the way to a Postdoc's heart! To show Purdue’s appreciation, the Office for Postdoctoral Scholars has planned three events (details below).

Please share this information with your faculty to spread the love. Note that postdocs are encouraged to invite their PIs to the Friday afternoon event, the Ice Cream Social.
