To all MSE graduate students and post-docs,
The MSEGSA would like to invite you to this year's Materials at Purdue Symposium (M@PS). As the only student-led materials research symposium at Purdue, M@PS is a platform to share and discuss research across disciplines. This year's event will be held on May
30th and run from 8:30 to 4 pm (agenda to follow). Refreshments will be provided in the morning, and all registrants will have the chance to reserve a lunch. Please use the link below to register!
Presenters at M@PS are your fellow MSE graduate students, as well as students from other disciplines doing materials-related research. It's a low-pressure setting to practice conference presentation skills that will be crucial throughout your career, and all
presenters will be thanked with a custom gift. The application consists of a 250-word abstract on any completed or in-progress work you'd like to present. This year we'll offer two presentation styles. The first is a traditional oral presentation lasting 12
minutes. The second is a Pecha Kucha, a presentation style in which exactly 20 slides will be used to tell your research story. The slides will auto advance every 20 seconds, and we encourage you to use little to no text on your slides. Please consider submitting
your abstract for either presentation style.
The link below can be used for attendee and presenter registration, and the attached files include the necessary event and submission details. Please share the flyer with any peers, collaborators, or mentees who might be interested in attending or presenting!
We hope to see you there!
