Dear MSE colleagues,

There are 2 seminars to note for this Friday.  First, in our normal MSE 690 seminar series, 3:30 PM in ARMS 1010, we are hosting Partha Mukherjee, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and Associate Head for Research, Purdue University. 

Second, we just learned about another talk from 2-3pm on Friday in WALC 1121. John Sader, CalTech, "The Fluid-Structure Interaction of Nanoparticles."  

In addition to his clever research into nanoparticles being presented in this seminar, this visitor's approach to materials as a mathematician and physicist has led to, among other things, one of his advances being used in nearly all commercial AFM's in the world.
