Subject: [Gradcontacts] Back by popular demand: talk on Researchers in Industry!
Hello, all
I’m writing to request you to advertise this opportunity within your departments. Thank you.
Due to high demand (many, many more students & postdocs showed up than there was room for!), we’re offering a repeat of Beverly Mentzer’s talk on “Researchers in Industry.” Beverly has graciously agreed to repeat her interactive
presentation on how PhDs could use their technical and scientific skills more effectively, and discuss strategies to maximize success within an industry setting as well as pitfalls and behaviors that may inhibit researchers’ success in industry.
Though open to all grad students and postdocs, the presentation is most applicable to individuals in
science and engineering departments at Purdue.
Date: Nov. 9 (Thu.)
Location: WALC B066
Time: 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
No RSVPs needed. Please direct other questions about this event to me.
Thanks,
Amruta
