Lillian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellowships available to innovative, interdisciplinary researchers with recent PhD's in engineering or related sciences 

 

The Lillian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellows will be selected by a panel of distinguished faculty based on their CV, letters of recommendations, potential for broader impact on industry and society, and proposed research. Gilbreth fellows will have the unique opportunity to prepare themselves for a successful career in academia by:  

  • Undertaking interdisciplinary research with two co-advisors in different fields
  • Participation in professional development activities tailored to chosen academia paths

In memory of the distinguished Dr. Lillian Moller Gilbreth, a Purdue Engineering professor from 1935-1948, fellowships in her name are now open to exceptional young individuals of great promise. 


Lillian Gilbreth Fellows are provided with: 

  • Excellent stipend plus benefits
  • $5K for professional development
  • Interdisciplinary research with leading faculty
  • Mentoring guided by a comprehensive individual development plan
