Hello MSE Department!
As we conclude the Summer semester, we are now opening up Fall conference room reservations. You can book the conference rooms through December 31st. Anything past that will be declined and sent back.
MSE uses Outlook to book all of our conference rooms. Here are the instructions for how to reserve a room via Outlook: https://engineering.purdue.edu/ECN/Support/KB/Docs/How%20to%20reserve%20room
Materials Engineering Conference Rooms
ARMS 2326 | Fits 24 people (Projector Screen)
ARMS 2237 | Fits 8 people (TV Screen with adapters)
ARMS 2222 | Fits 7 people (TV Screen with adapters)
ARMS B197 | Fits 12 people (TV Screen with adapters)
Rooms will be listed as "Materials Engineering - ARMS 2xxx" along with their capacity. If it does not state MSE, it belongs to another department, and the other department may not approve it. All departments reserve the right to remove room reservations in favor of their department's needs. (i.e., Aero will kick you out of their conference room if they need it)
General Reminders:
Due to the limited meeting rooms available for MSE in ARMS, please do not double-book rooms.
Cancel/adjust reservations as soon as they change ahead of time.
Room administrators reserve the right to release room reservations if they notice users are not utilizing their reserved time slots
All of our conference rooms close at 5 pm unless you are accompanied by a faculty member, except for ARMS B197. If you are in one of the three conference rooms (2222, 2237, 2326) at 5 pm without a faculty member, we will ask you to leave.
When submitting a request, please put what it is for in the title line. Ex: Prof. __ Meeting or (Company) Senior Design Group. This helps us understand who is using the room and for what.
Requests sent in minutes before your meeting is set to start will not be approved and posted, and we will not kick out individuals who are currently in the room for a last-minute request.
Please send in any conference room requests at least 24 hours in advance so that we can update the schedule and adjust if needed.
Finally, I would also like to remind everyone to take care of the conference rooms while you use them, as the entire department uses them. Remember to push your chairs in, wipe off the whiteboards/tables, and turn off the Lights/TV/Projector/AV equipment once you are done. These conference rooms are shared by everyone in the MSE department, including outside visitors and industrial partners. Users who are not following the posted room usage expectations are subject to losing their room privileges
