All,

One of my collaborators, Prof. George Chang from NYCU in Taiwan is visiting the department today. He has agreed to give a short presentation of his research and life as an academic today at 4pm in ARMS 2326.

George is a polymer synthetic chemist who makes many of the mechanophores that my group works with. His research also focuses on the development of new functional materials for advanced applications at the molecular and nanoscales. He did his PhD with Todd Emrick at UMass Polymer Science and Engineering, postdoc’ed with Steve Craig at Duke, and has been an assistant professor of chemistry at NYCU for the past 5 years.

Please consider attending if you are interested.

Sincerely,

Prof. Chelsea Davis
