Subject: 2nd Annual Virtual Chicagoland Postdoc Recruitment Initiative

Folks,

Please consider sharing this opportunity with your advanced PhD students, recent PhD graduates and early-stage postdocs in the STEM fields via any channels you have access to.

The Postdoc Affairs Offices at Northwestern UniversityThe University of Chicago, and University of Illinois Chicago invite you to participate in the Chicagoland Postdoc Recruitment Initiative, taking place virtually October 20-21, 2022

Applications will be accepted through Monday, September 12th. APPLY HERE!

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn about THREE postdoctoral programs in the Chicagoland area and the cutting-edge research happening at each institution. More than 150 faculty members from the three institutions have signed-up to participate in the Initiative!

This is a collaborative initiative to improve diversity and inclusion at the three largest research universities in the Chicago area, with the goal of addressing the "pipeline" challenge in academia for historically marginalized graduate students and postdocs, including individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds, who have disabilities, who identify as LGBTQIA+, who are veterans, or who were first-generation college students or Pell-eligible. Selected participants will learn about postdoctoral programs in the Chicagoland area, how to find postdoctoral opportunities, how to apply for postdoctoral positions, and how to maximize your postdoctoral experiences. Following these two days of programming, participants will conduct informational interviews with matched faculty members through November 4th.
