Hope everyone is enjoying summer and the good weather. It is my pleasure to announce that Prof. Ale Strachan has been named Reilly Professor of Materials Engineering. Prof’s Strachan appointment was approved by the Board of Trustees at a ceremony this morning. He has contributed immensely to the mission of our School, among other things, through his research on atomistic modeling, his teaching, and the development and use of nanohub.

Please join me in congratulating Prof. Strachan on this wonderful achievement! We are very proud to have him in our School and look forward to many more years of impactful contributions.
