Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking our call re: a scholarship program we are offering to your graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. As my colleague Lucas mentioned, Park Systems produces microscopy equipment for nanoscale characterization and we want to help young nanoscience researchers with the Park Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) Scholarship.

We welcome any graduate students and postdocs who present research with data acquired using a Park AFM to send in their abstracts to become a Park AFM Scholar. Becoming a Scholar has multiple benefits, including:

1. An award of up to $500 USD for presenting their research at an academic conference either on campus or hosted off-site by an academic research society or organization.

2. An official Park AFM Scholar certificate

3. An opportunity for their research to be featured in a future issue in NanoScientific, a quarterly nanotechnology magazine published by Park Systems

If applicants are unsure where to find a Park AFM to conduct qualifying research for the scholarship, they can contact us for help finding the system nearest them. In some cases, it may even already be on campus!

2017 winners came from such institutions as Binghamton University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, Stanford University, the University of Waterloo, and the University of Wisconsin—Madison. To date, they have all been featured in NanoScientific—back issues recognizing the awardees can be found here:
