Dear colleagues, As we are expecting the completion of lab move this week, I want to thank all faculty and students for your help and patience to get the daunting job done. I was asked to relay this reminder to all PIs: if you move out from your previous lab, please remove all the items of your group, remove trashed items from the desks/cabinets/shelfs, return the furniture to original position, and remove boxes from the room. The college and university request the room is returned in a condition that can be transferred immediately to the next occupant with basic floor cleaning. Please contact me, Mike, or Pam if you have any questions. Hi Jun, Thank you very much for your team's hard work over the past few weeks in ensuring a smooth and efficient lab move in Indy. I’m reaching out to see if you might be able to assist with expediting lab access for our students. My students promptly submitted the required information to Tiffany L. Lewallen last Monday, but they have not received any updates since then. Over the weekend, we reassembled our experimental loop in the new space in preparation to resume experiments as soon as possible, especially since we are working under several time-sensitive research tasks. I reached out to Kevin yesterday to check on the status, and he informed me that he is only able to grant access once Tiffany gives him the go-ahead. Tiffany also responded and kindly let me know she had submitted the request to Purdue for approval last week. She later called me and noted that the final approval is out of her hands. In the meantime, she suggested either I open the door for my students or they reach out to her directly for access, which unfortunately is quite inconvenient for everyone involved. Would you happen to know which office is responsible for approving student access? I would be happy to reach out directly to inquire about the timeline so I can better coordinate my research schedule around it. Thank you again for your continued support.
