If you have graduate students enrolled in or considering MA 51100 (Linear Algebra with Applications) and/or STAT 51100 (Statistical Methods), please consider having them take the Indy offerings of these courses.

Subject: MATH 511 & STAT 511

Colleagues,

I just heard that additional sections of MATH 511 and STAT 511 have been opened for several weeks now, including sections in Indy, but there is very low enrollment. I know there had been very high demand at our summer grad admin meeting. Perhaps these additional sections were not communicated? Or is the demand in WL rather than Indy?

This is all the info I have, but let me know what you can see from your side, if you still have students looking for these courses that can’t find them, or any feedback about the current Math/Stat enrollment situation.
