LORRE Lab Safety Day

On July 18^th we will be working to improve the entire LORRE Lab to rectify safety deficiencies and perform needed cleaning. Please mark your calendars - All LORRE members will be involved (unless out of town). This will be an opportunity to contribute to the space we all use weather you are just entering LORRE or on moving on to more exciting things (Congrats to those of you who are defending!).

When: July 18^th, 9:00am-12:00am

Lab Order:

231, 233/252, 235, 237/254/256, 236, 333, 359, 336, B38/138 (No activity in 335)

Note that B38 will need special attention

Tasks:

·       Correct Safety deficiencies

·       Take out and replace sharps/broken glass boxes

·       Identify, separate, and fill out documentation for wastes to send to REM

·       Empty unneeded lab samples from refrigerators – especially for those graduating

·       Sweep floors, Scrub workbenches, and arrange glassware as needed
