To All,

The Christmas Holiday and winter recess is coming up.  Over the winter break, please consider environmental and equipment safety.

HPLC Recharge note

We will turn off all HPLC systems during the holiday.  We will also prepare various mobile phases.  If you need to use the HPLCs during the holiday, please contact us.  It is your responsibility to add suitable mobile phase, equilibrate LC system and check column heater when using it.  After finishing your analysis, please turn off the HPLC system.  Currently, all HPLC systems do not have a service contract, so we must use them with caution.

Lab Safety

 When you plan to work in the lab during the holiday, make sure you are working safely.  If you work alone in the hood, please make sure that someone else is nearby.  Make sure the lab door is closed and turn the lights off when you leave.  Pay attention to hot plate, gases, and make sure the autoclave is turned off.  If there are any problems, please report to Purdue at 494-8221 (non-emergency number).
