Lab users-

I would like to make a request for last-minute push to get the chemical inventory updated and electronic SDS records completed. If anyone has spare time, please assist.

Chemical Inventory (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1thXcsqAsDpPie0_jBz6B7s_H9GxhtGAjrlzD6u4BxzA/edit#gid=84767257) still needs updated for B38 & 359 as well as 254 & 256 (few remaining in those two rooms). This includes flammable cabinets, acid/base storage under fume hoods, under sinks and fridge/freezers. Please document any primary container provided by the manufacturer. Do not include secondary solutions at this time (70% ethanol). Please remove any chemicals no longer present.

All electronic SDSs in pdf format should now be added to our new shared drive. Connecting instructions below. All labs need SDSs once each room inventory is complete. I’ll begin right now with 231 (I don’t have a laptop to begin where inventory needs completed). Replicate chemicals from separate manufacturers do not need to have separate PDFs at this time. All SDSs will be contained in the same folder. I suggest Ctrl+F in the folder to see if one has been added based on another room’s inventory before searching for an SDS. Rooms needed: B38, 233/252, 235, 237/254/256, 333, 335, 336 & 359.

I appreciate any help I can get. I suggest replying to this thread to keep other volunteers informed.

Right Click on "Computer"

Select "Map Network Drive"

Select a free letter from the drop down list Paste the next line into the "folder" box minus the "

"\\fairway.ecn.purdue.edu\lorredoc"

Select the option for "Reconnect at logon"

Finish

*If prompted for login use ecn\alias
