2017 LORRE Safety Day Activity

July 18th, 9:00am-12:00am (meet in Potter Lab# 236)

a)     To do-list:

·       Correct Safety deficiencies

·       Take out and replace sharps/broken glass boxes

·       Identify, separate, and fill out documentation for wastes to send to REM

·       Empty unneeded lab samples from refrigerators – especially for those graduating

·       Sweep floors, Scrub workbenches, and arrange glassware as needed

b)     Notes:

·       No storage of chemicals in hoods

·       Nothing stored on top of flame cabinets

·       LABEL all chemicals/samples

·       LIDS

·       Check fridges

·       There are empty boxes in 237 and 233
