August LORRE Safety Issue

All,

This semester, for our retraining session, we will use the REM training module. Everyone is required to do it. Open the following link on a browser other than Google Chrome (Internet Explorer or Firefox, etc): https://www.purdue.edu/ehps/rem/training/old%20ot/hazcomcomp/hazcomcomp.htm .

Once you watch all the videos and complete the quiz you will receive an email (see attached example) confirming you completed the training. Please forward that email to Antonio (freitasd@purdue.edu).

Additionally, some equipment have been assigned to members of the Safety Committee (see Table below). Contact the responsible person if you need to use, be trained on or have any problems with that equipment.  You have to be trained to use any of these equipment.  If you have an issue with an equipment not on the list contact the mayor for that room.

Finally, all hazardous waste must be put on an appropriate container, accurately labeled with the orange tags and put on the collection area in Lab #237. Samira will be responsible for making the pickup requests.
