September LORRE Safety Communication

To all,

                The safety retraining for fall 2013 will be held on Thursday, September 19^th in the Fu room in the Potter building (POTR 234) at 3:00 PM.

                We would like you to become familiar with the new change in the Global System Safety and Hazard Communication System (HCS). 

 We will discuss the changes which have been made to the chemical labels, safety data sheets (SDS), and chemical classification system. 

Also, we will review good lab practice with some informative videos.  Lastly, we will discuss the ISP Safety Recertification.

                This safety retraining is a very important part of our safety program.  All LORRE faculty, staff, visiting scholars, students,

 and anyone working in the LORRE labs are required to attend. 

                We believe that the safety retraining is useful and will help improve the safety in our labs.
