LORRE January Safety Issue
01/20/2017
All:
Welcome
back
to the new semester! In order for the lab to continue to be a
safe working
environment, we must strengthen safety training. We encourage
all of you to use
the following resources for Purdue REM safety training:
*
Chemical Hygiene
Plan Training
*
Hazard
Communication (HazCom/Right-to-Know) DTI Training
*
Hazard
Communication (HazCom/Right-to-Know) Online Training
The
safety
committee will be holding the “2017 LORRE Safety Retraining” next Monday (01/23/2017) at 3:30 pm in the
Potter building
Room 234 (K.S. Fu Room). We expect everyone
to attend this meeting. The retraining will cover the main
topics in the Lab
Safety Guide, including PPE, equipment, and safe chemical
handling. We will review
the 2016 Safety Report
and as well as
discuss new safety work processes for this spring semester. The
meeting will
last approximately 40 minutes.
Once
again,
we need all LORRE members and associated members to come for
this safety
retraining. Everyone must sign the 2017 year retraining sheet to
prove that
they were in attendance and received their retraining.
Thank
you,
LORRE
Safety
Committee
