Group- I would like to remind you that you hold the responsibility of disinfecting your lab workspaces BEFORE & AFTER performing lab tasks, not just the doorknobs. In case it was not made clear in your return interview, it is each user’s responsibility to disinfect work areas by wiping down surfaces with a disinfectant-soaked paper towel or other appropriate means when you enter the lab and also when you leave the lab. While I was responsible for the initial disinfecting, I am not responsible for disinfecting after the group on a daily basis.

Let this be a reminder that by signing the Purdue-approved LORRE Individual PI & Multi-PI COVID-19 Research Space Standard Operating Procedure (attached), you committed to:

REDUCING EXPOSURE: “…regular cleaning and disinfection of surfaces and shared equipment”

Q18: “…agrees to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and equipment used by more than one individual”

Q19: “Wipe down of the bench area before work starts and after work is complete and the person leaves the lab will also be required.”
