Improvements
to the Safety Program
1. Eyewash flushes
will be performed weekly
a. Attachment is example
2. Chemical
Inventory Form (HCP-4)
a. We have
transferred the Lab Chemical
Inventory for to HCP-4 (Purdue REM form)
b. Emily Coleman, Marissa C. Karp and Iman Beheshti
thought forward and when the ordered chemicals, they sent the
chemical name and
the storage location to us. This helps us to keep the chemical
inventory up to
date in time.
3. Keeping Lab
doors Closed
a. See attachment
b. Almost all of
our doors to not close
automatically, so when you are working in the lab, please
close the door behind
you. The doors do not need to be locked, but please keep
them closed at all
times. As usually, lock the doors if you are the last
person to leave.
In the next
semester, we plan to strengthen safety retraining and continue
to make
improvements.
Thanks,
