LORRE December Safety Issue

                                                                                                    12/8/2015

We are all very busy with final exams starting next week and winter break approaching. To help prevent accidents and problems from occurring while you are away, please note the following:

1.     Lock the lab doors before you leave to make sure our laboratories are secure.

2.     Turn off the gas, hot plates, and water to ensure all laboratory areas are safe.

3.     Consider that any unattended operations left running while you are gone are not secure or safe-please do not keep experiments running if you do not plan to return soon.

4.     Throughout holiday break, there will still be a few people working. Those of you who plan to work should be aware of emergency contact information in case problems arise:

Emergency Contact Information:

    For any emergency, call 911

    Purdue Police: (765) 494-8221

LORRE Safety Committee Members, Student Representatives, and PI contact information (name and phone number) is posted on each laboratory door.

Thanks,

LORRE safety Committee
