LORRE LC Recharge Center Notice

To LC user:

The 2017 year new semester start. We have been maintaining HPLC system. All HPX-87 H column have changed new cartridges. C18 column also is new cartridges. We are installing the new HPX-87 P column. Please plan analysis your sample. For protection the column and avoid the expense and downtime related to lengthy maintenance repairs and replacement costs, please

1)     Prepare sample. Each sample have to filter by 0.2 µm filter before run HPLC.  You do not force to filter when you feeling filter process difficult .You should centrifuge first or apply other method then filter.

2)     For HPX-87P column. The life of column dependent upon the purity of the samples you are analyzing. If your samples are high salt concentrations it is easily exhausted guard capacity and increase in backpressure. So Bio-Rad Technical advised to incorporate a desalting step into the sample prep.

3)     Galacturonic acid analysis, the HPX-87P is not the recommended column to use (From Bio-Rad Technical support) Instead using the HPX-87H column you will find you get better results.

4)     Please fill out the HPLC Log.
