This is one last reminder to please have your current lab supplies designated with obvious markings by EOB Monday.
For example, if I send someone in to your lab space to pack up all beakers, it should be obvious to them NOT to take the two 100mL beakers that you have designated, whether that be labelled individually, all in labelled boxes or in a labelled cabinet.
Thank you for your cooperation with this task so that we can continue our pace of prepping for the move. Just since this morning, I can see good progress made.
Please UPDATE the lab reservation schedule daily! I’ve seen three of you present that are not yet documented.

I’m terribly sorry, but I need to reschedule the original Tuesday group cleanout to
Thursday, October 22, 2020.
In the meantime, it would be very helpful if everyone can save boxes and packing materials. I will need some boxes to designate for donated glassware in addition to the moving boxes containing our supplies.
Thank you.

Subject: Mandatory Glassware Packing Mon & Tue
Group- I need your help to tackle the task of packing glassware amongst all POTR labs. I have begun to pack and give guidance to a few members recently but I strongly feel that this task if better fir for a
group effort with the expectation of social distancing.
By EOB on Monday, October 19, all lab users will independently gather project-related glassware. Whether you designate a single set of cabinets in your lab or even box it up, this grouping needs to be clearly labeled with username and contents.
This is stuff you anticipate needing between now and December.
On Tuesday, October 20, I expect all lab users to be present in POTR to log two hours in sorting and packing glassware. Again, while social distancing, we will divide this task into two staging areas on the 2nd and 3rd floor.
I will put some deeper thought into the logistics of this day in addition to some prep time ((i.e. packing some larger items to create bench space for 333 packing). This is how I anticipate the glassware packing operation to be executed on Tuesday.
For the 3rd floor, 333 will be used as a staging area for all glassware. Using carts, two people will remove all glassware from 336 cabinets, sorting by type as it is removed from the cabinet onto a cart. Then the sorted carts (i.e. all volumetric
flasks) are moved to 333. In 333, a third person is packing fifty 100mL volumetric flasks. After fifty have been packed into official moving boxes, then the remaining are packed into designated donation boxes (I have been authorized by Dr Ladisch to reduce
and donate within reason). Once 336 is cleared of glassware, we move glassware from 359 into 333. This is basically going to be an all-day, all hands-on operation. Similar fashion for the 2nd floor.
Thank you and I appreciate your cooperation in this effort and I am welcoming helpful suggestions.
