LORRE March Safety Issues              

To All,

Here are some updates from the LORRE Safety Committee:

1.      The Purdue University will be performing a Tornado Drill on March 27^th, please be aware of this and make sure we follow the correct preparedness procedures.

Please also note the attached Severe Weather Memo published by Purdue.

2.      We would like to recognize the groups of students who are working in the LORRE labs on the Corn & Soybean competition for their excellent use of Personal Protective Equipment while working in on their experiments. We would like for everyone to use them as an example. The students’ names are: Degerhan Deger,  Keun-il Kim, Mitch French, Ben Lins, Hannah Doren, and Anbo Wang

3.      Please remember that it is mandatory for all new people in the lab to go through basic LORRE Safety Training before beginning work in the labs. Come to room 333 to complete this training.

4.      Lastly, we would like to begin planning the Safety Retraining for the 2013 summer and we will discuss this more in depth at a later group meeting.
