I2D-list US Government Funding Opportunities Roundtable
Dear Faculty and Students, The U.S. Commercial Service and Millennium Challenge Corporation will be presenting their suite of services and how you can work with them tomorrow, Friday October 17th from 10:00-11:30am at Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship (1201 West State Street). The U.S. Commercial Service, which is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, provides a variety of services including: -trade counseling -business matchmaking -market intelligence -commercial diplomacy All in the pursuit of helping Americans do business overseas. The Millennium Challenge Corporation is a foreign assistance agency that provides large "compacts" of funding (~$500 million) over a 5-year period to countries that meet requirements for ruling justly, economic freedom and commitment to investing in their people. Partner countries identify their programming needs funded under compacts and thus span a variety of sectors: agriculture, water, health, and education. MCC also offers a variety of opportunities under their Annual Program Statements as well as direct contracting/consulting opportunities for subject matter/technical expertise.
