American Councils for International Education is pleased to announce a request for project proposals for
the U.S.-Kazakhstan University Partnerships Grants Program 2020-21.
Funded by the U.S. Mission to Kazakhstan, the U.S.-Kazakhstan University Partnerships Grants Program aims
to establish new partnerships between higher education institutions, strengthen educational ties between the two countries, and bolster English-language programming.
Administered by American Councils for International Education (American Councils), these grants are designed
to adapt policies, practices, and administrative structures for teaching and learning English and English for special purposes in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM); and modify teaching and curriculum for student outcomes in those areas.
Awards may support travel for faculty and technical experts, honoraria, materials, and conference fees for
projects in the U.S. and Kazakhstan that advance the following program goals to:
