Dear All,

I lead the Shah Family Global Innovation Lab in the College of Engineering. Shah Lab’s mission is to help translate the technology and innovation at the college of engineering and across campus into solutions for social impact around the world. To do so effectively, we give out seed grants to support faculty and researcher teams.

We also help match faculty and researchers with boundary organizations (or field organizations) across countries to achieve deeper understanding of the socio-economic and cultural context relevant to a problem area that can help inform the technology/solution.

One of our network organizations – WaterAid India has shared with us, six problems that they have identified as key challenges in the water sector in India. Please find attached the highlighted problem areas. (short 2 pager)

If you are working in any of the highlighted areas, and are interested in translating your work for social impact in India, please connect with me at gupta604@purdue.edu. In partnership with WaterAid, we would like to support your work.

Also feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks

Kind Regards,

Pallavi Gupta
