Colleagues,

To follow up on Anne’s email I just wanted to highlight in her email the following opportunity :

The USAID’s Global Innovation Exchange is a platform for connecting innovators with the resources, funding, people, organizations, programs and information they need to grow, test, and scale their innovation.

https://www.globalinnovationexchange.com

In an effort to create a consistent institutional presence on the site, please follow these directions. To get started, you first need to create your own member profile. You will put Purdue University as your institutional affiliation, but when you get to “Organization” start typing Purdue, and you should see “Purdue University, Innovation for International Development (I2D) Lab” pop up. After your member profile is set, you can add your innovation description and upload associated content. If you have any questions, or want some assistance in setting up your information, just let us know!

Basically if you are already working on appropriate technologies /solutionsfor developing countries, you can upload your profile, interests, and technology description on this site. The Global Innovation Exchange is a major USAID effort that will help link people in need of technologies to connect up with innovators. Some I2D  faculty already have their profiles on the Global Innovation Exchange  and have been receiving enquiries from interested parties. USAID is still in roll-out phase so there is a chance to stand out among the competition by posting your profiles early.

Regards

Arvind
