Purdue University is pleased to announce our 2021 Global Agriculture Innovation Forum, developed as a partnership between Purdue and USDA. The forum will consist of a series of virtual events held throughout 2021 that will provide opportunities for dialogue and dissemination of ideas at the leading edge of agricultural innovation.

Our first main event titled Farms and Farmers of the Future is scheduled for March 2, 2021 from 9:00-10:30 AM ET. Participation is FREE, but registration is required. 

Attached you’ll find our announcement with registration information and a Media Toolkit to use for “spreading the word”. We are hoping many from your organization will join our forum events.  We also hope you’ll be able to share our Forum information with relevant contacts and networks.

Dr. Rajendra Paroda, former Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Government of India.

Sustainable and climate-smart

 

Dr. Dennis Garrity, Systems Agronomist and research leader whose career has focused on improving small-scale farming systems in the tropics. He has been serving as Drylands Ambassador for the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, emphasizing the role of agroforestry, evergreen agriculture and landcare for sustainable land management. From 2001 to 2011, he served as Director General of the World Agroforestry Centre. He is currently Chair of the Board of the Global EverGreening Alliance and also chairs Landcare International, a worldwide effort to support grassroots community-based natural resource management.
