Subject: Shah Lab Seed Grant Awards: Phase 1 results
Dear All,
Thank you for your responses and for your patience.
Phase 1 of our seed grant awards process is now complete, and we have selected
10 problem statements to move forward to the Phase 2.
The selection process included a panel of 17 jury members scoring problem statements on 12 parameters. These parameters assessed multiple aspects like - importance and severity of the problem, value to Purdue
research, geographical and thematical importance in donor world, partner organization, solution feasibility and Purdue’s own relevant research capability.
Problem statements that scored high on the assessment and also received higher number of submissions from faculty/researchers were selected to proceed to the next round.
