LASER PULSE RFA for East Africa

Colleague,
LASER PULSE is seeking research Concept Notes from researchers based in Higher Education Institutions in the US and in USAID Interest countries (https://www.usaid.gov/where-we-work).
The objective of this solicitation is to catalyze evidence-based research that can be readily translated into useful policies, products, and practices that better address international
development goals, through participatory problem identification that engages researchers and development implementers.
We hereby invite researchers to submit research Concept Notes in accordance with the Request for Applications. The RFA provides all the documents with the necessary information for
an assessment of application requirements.
The RFA calls for innovative research – and associated research translation – focused on development challenges within three development sectors: Basic Education (specifically social
and emotional skills); Food Security (specifically youth engagement in agriculture); and Water Security (specifically data and forecasting for water resources) in the context of the three East African countries of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Note that research
on Basic Education is limited to Kenya and Uganda only.
LASER PULSE will receive Research Concept Notes between 27 September and 15 November 2019. If you are interested in submitting a Concept Note, go to
https://stemedhub.org/groups/laserpulse/funding/rfa-eastafrica.
If you are unable to access the website, please send the Concept Note and associated documentation to this email,
