Important Announcements

Bolivian Culture Spotlight

Ten things to know about the country of Bolivia

1.  Bolivia has two capital cities: La Paz and Sucre.  Sucre is the constitutional and judicial capital and La Paz is the executive and legislative capital. 
2.  As of 2017, the population of Bolivia was 11.05 million people
3.  The official language of Bolivia is Spanish but the country has over 36 indigenous languages
4.  Bolivia is the 5th-largest country in South America
5.  Bolivia is considered one of the most biodiverse countries in the world
6.  Bolivia has been governed by a democratically elected government by 1982
7.  The Bolivian Military is divided into three branches: the army, the navy, and the air force
8.  The official Bolivian currency is the Bolivian boliviano.

9.  78% of the population identifies as Roman Catholic
10.  Bolivia has the world's largest butterfly sanctuary located just outside Santa Cruz!!
