I am not sure how many of you got an email about the local SETAC chapter meetings. Given it’s topic, many of you that normally would not attend these meetings may have interest. Abstracts were due by Sept 6 although if you had something ready today, we may be able to get them to consider adding your presentation. Let me know and I will see what I can do. These local chapter meetings are relatively small. Michael Walton of Cleveland State University and Urban Ecologists from the US EPA Session topics: Urban Ecology and Streams Urban Development and Environmental Impacts Regulatory Standards and their Developments Risk Assessment/Human Health and Ecological Risks – weighing the costs to protect the urban environment Restoration Sites, Post Remediation Urban Risk Reduction and Health Issues Assessing Interactions between the Neighborhood and Ecosystem Sustainability Goals: Societal, Socioeconomic, Human Patterns and Preferences Compared to Ecological Changes and Processes Registration Costs: Attendees may register for either day or both days.
