You should have only sent this out to faculty with students who have ALREADY passed their prelim – note this for the future. We typically send it to particular faculty not the listserve which
is why I had not done it yet.
I am going to send a note to the listserve.

Subject: ESE-faculty-list OIGP Bilsland Dissertation Fellowships 2024-2025 Nominations
Good afternoon!
The Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs (OIGP) would like to begin the process for awarding the Bilsland Dissertation Fellowships that were allocated to our office for the 2024-2025 year. With ESE being a part of OIGP we have
the opportunity to nominate ESE students for the Bilsland. Please keep in mind that students do not apply directly for the Bilsland Fellowship, but are nominated by their major professor and selected by members of the graduate faculty in OIGP.
Students do not apply directly for the Bilsland Fellowship, but are nominated by their major professor. At a minimum, the selection process considers the students’ academic and scholarly achievements and the promise of degree attainment at the conclusion of
the fellowship at the fellowship tenure. The stipend amount is $28,000 for 12 months. This fellowship can be broken down into what I call
5 months (Fall or Spring semester), 7 months (Summer and Fall or Spring and Summer) or the full
12 months. Students are paid bi-weekly and not monthly.
NOMINATION REQUREMENTS:
DEADLINE: Nominations are due on Monday, March 25th at 5:00 p.m.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Amy
