The security of individuals, communities and nations is profoundly affected by changing environmental conditions. Climate disruption, access to affordable and clean water, food and energy, are among the factors that can impact both the health and stability of individuals and their communities. Nations are beginning to integrate such environmental factors into decisions regarding defense, diplomacy and development.
On January 18-20, 2012, the 12th National Conference on Science, Policy and the Environment will address these manifold issues through five keynote addresses from prominent and influential leaders; eight fascinating plenary sessions with journalists as moderators; 22 fascinating symposia; and 25 interactive breakout workshops.
