Good evening!

Just as a reminder, during winter recess for the University our office is closed from December 22nd through January 1st.  If you need assistance from myself or your degree granting department’s Grad Contact during this time it’s likely we might not be available, so please be as proactive as possible.  However, I know things do come up, so if you need something please let me know and I will try to respond when possible.

Below is a list of deadlines for Spring 2024.  I wanted to point out the Plan of Study Deadline for May candidates is Jan. 7, 2024, but this means the Plan of Study must be all the way (to the graduate school) through the approvals by the Jan. 7th deadline.  If you are planning to graduate in Spring, please finish your Plan of Study as soon as possible.  Also, if you are planning to graduate in Spring 2024 and need to be register as a Candidate (CAND 99100, 99200, 99300) please let me know.  The following are some of the main academic deadlines for the coming session (full list here):

The plan of study must be submitted by the student, signed by all advisory committee members and all appropriate departmental staff, and awaiting only Graduate School processing by 11:59 p.m. ET on this date for the student to be eligible for candidacy for spring. The Graduate School recommends that students submit their plans at least a month in advance of this date to allow time for departmental review.

Students who miss any of the deadlines in red may incur a $200 Late Graduation Deadline Fee if they would like to maintain their candidate status for this session. Candidates who request to make updates to an already deposited thesis or dissertation may also incur this fee. Students who have been listed on the candidate roster for the same degree more than two consecutive sessions, meaning this spring is the third time, may also incur this fee.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  I hope you all enjoy your break!

Happy Holidays!

Amy
