Good evening,

The following is information regarding the kickoff event for ISF taking place September 15th.  There’s also an attached flyer if you’re interested in joining.

Amy

Hi all,

Ellen Wells and I invite you to attend a kickoff event for ISF's Environmental Justice Research Community on 9/15 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in MRGN 129. Our research community is diverse, with members representing a variety of disciplines from across campus whose work touches the intersection of understanding how environmental hazards are distributed disproportionately in communities of color and low-income communities. As a learning community, we actively pursue a growth mindset toward environmental justice research and encourage you to help us grow our definition.

So please join us whether you're an active scholar in this field or encountering health impacts of environmental hazards, community-based environmental monitoring, policy applications such as zoning or permitting regulations, or environmental hazards' social and cultural effects in your research.

Best,

Aaron
