Just a reminder that the deadline for both the ESE Research and Teaching Award nominations is next week!

Below are the links to nominate ESE students for the 2026 Research Award and Teaching Award.  The deadline to submit nominations for theses awards will be Wednesday, April 8^th at 11:59PM.  I have changed these a bit this year to make it hopefully make it easier on the people who review our nominees. I’ve included details below as to what is being asked from you in each of the Qualtrics. Each award is $350. The winners can choose either a plaque or something they’d like personalized with the ESE logo. Let me know if you have any questions regarding nominating your ESE students.

• Nominator, nominee, and advisor/major professor name and email address.
• Copy of student nominee’s CV.
• Nomination letter (maximum two page, PDF format) that may address, but is not limited to the following:
• Overall support for nomination.
• Examples of contributions the student has made to the lab/research group.
• Mentoring or leadership involvement.
• Interdisciplinary aspect of student's research and/or approach to their research.

• Examples of mentoring of students and/or colleagues.
• Contributions to course development and/or enhancements that have improved student learning outcomes.
