Good afternoon,

 

On behalf of the 2022-2023 Ecological Sciences and Engineering Student Cohort, I am reaching out to invite students, staff, faculty, and colleagues to attend our upcoming Fall Symposium, Feeding the Future: Food for All. The symposium takes place on Wednesday, October 11th and Thursday, October 12th. This symposium is completely FREE to attend!

 

Registration for ALL events is now open, some of which have limited spots. If you are interested in attending any of these events, please RSVP. 

 

If you are interested in presenting your research at our poster session on October 12th, please submit your abstract by Sunday, October 1st online. 

 

The schedule of events include:

 

Wednesday, October 11, 2023

  • networking lunch with several of our speakers at the John Purdue Room from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Lunch will be provided!
  • panel discussion with five speakers, coming to discuss topics such as food deserts, urban agriculture, food policy, and more! This will be held in KRAN 140 from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM.
  • Our keynote address, which will take place in KRAN 140 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM; join us to hear from Euler Broleph, founder and managing director of VestedWorld.

 

Thursday, October 12, 2023

  • The poster session, where the top two graduate presenters and top two undergraduate presenters will be awarded prizes. This event will take place in DLR 131 from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM.
  • workshop hosted by Growing Places Indy in DLR 131 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

 

Saturday, October 14, 2023

  • Volunteer with Purdue Student Farm! Time for this event is TBD. Lunch will be provided!
