I hope your Fall 2024 semester has wrapped up smoothly.  Welcome to the new year!

 

The Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate programs will be hosting our 16th OIGP Spring Reception on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 - 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM in the PMU Ballrooms.  Mark your calendars and plan on joining us for the celebration of interdisciplinary graduate student research.  A tentative agenda can be found online.  Here are a few action items that we need your assistance with:

 

  1. Nominations for Panelist: We are seeking nominations for two different types of career path panels: Academia and Industry. The deadline to submit a panelist is Monday, Jan 13th at 8 AM. Please submit your nomination for Panelists HERE.
    1. Academic Focus: Current student on an academic job search, Post Doc, Assistant Professor, or Tenured Associate/Full Professor
    2. Industry Focus: Current student on an industry job search, Visiting Fellow/ Post Doc, Junior Leader in Industry, Senior Leader in Industry

 

  1. Please encourage your students to submit poster presentations and apply for the Most Outstanding Interdisciplinary Project Award (MOIPA—winner receives $1000).
    1. Poster and Award Submission Deadline: Sunday, March 2nd, 2025. Details can be found at the links below.

  1. Poster Judges and MOIPA Reviewers are needed, your help in this area is much appreciated!
    1. Posters (9:30-11:30 AM, May 7th)
    2. MOIPA applications (Review/score about 10-12 applications in advance, April time frame) 
    3. Judges can be Faculty, Post Docs, Alumni, Industry Partners
